Love it! I try convincing myself I am a foodie and can eat any taste and like it etc. However, when I see our mallu dishes I am confused.. I can never love anything as much as I love our good old naadan stuff. Nice picture too!

Hi sarah..
Mouthwatering mappas...I prepared it sometime back with karimeen :)
Btw I tried ur mushroom roast today..It tastes good but looks nothing like urs..ur looks so red and dry..Mine is brown with lot of gravy.I didnt add water to cook mushroom.

Sarah Naveen December 2, 2009 3:44 PM

Oh vineetha..so sad to hear that urs dint turn out well.
did you use fresh or frozen mushrooms?
Abt the brown color, depends on the chilli powder, and dont fry the chillipowder.you need to add water before it gets fried.otherwise it ll be brown. If you want the gravy to be thick , you need to simmer more time gal, dont hurry be patient..dont add more than 1/2 cup water for 2 cups mushroom ;)..the ratio is important here..
Anyways mine always comes out like this...better luck next time :)

Next time will cook it uncovered enittu result parayam too.
